Isn't Canonical based in South Africa? I don't recall from the last release, but I would assume it will release at midnight local time for Canonical.

Mark Shuttleworth is South African but where Canonical is based I don't know... The ShipIT cd's I got last time came from France (if memory serves)... can't even find any info on the ubuntu forums on a release time...
