Default linux on a sunfire V480R

Does anyone know of a distro that will actually work on one of these machines?

I've tried debian, ubuntu, and gentoo with varying degrees of failure, never managed to get to the installer on any of them.

Only thing that seems to work is openBSD.

Solaris is unix, which is pretty much linux.

I should mention I have a boot server up, its just that installs fail.

and I know what solaris is.

Gentoo wouldn't work either, couldn't even get the download for centOS or slackware.
