Default Bash or ZSH

Well, I've only ever used bash for anything, but not that long ago I tried installing ZSH. I got lazy and confused and decided to uninstall it. Basically I wanted to know your opinions on the two. I think I've heard that ZSH is faster. Feel free to fill me in.

I don't use the console enough to use ZSH, and yet I administer my server via ssh. Unless your working all day on the console / you're that anal about efficiency, there really is little to no use to using Zsh.

ZSH is indeed an improved BASH. I recommend it. I don't feel like typing a whole lot at the moment so read this: http://friedcpu.wordpress.com/2007/0...ull-ever-need/

I just switched to it. Honestly it was just for the nicer autocomplete, but I'm certain there are other features that make it useful. I guess it more of a "why not" kind of thing.

there seems to be some benefits to using zsh, but if you're relatively new to Linux, I would suggest spending your time learning all the features of bash first; there are many and you'll probably learn more useful things that way than playing with zsh.
