Default Can you help me remove Ubuntu from my dual boot?

First off, I want to apologize too all the Lunix fans out there... its great, I just don't use it enough.

So I have Ubuntu (the newest version 10.1 I think) and Vista x64 on my main drive, on the same partition dual booting. I would like to remove Linux from my HDD, so when I boot, I am no longer taken to the menu to choose operating systems, whilst still retaining all my data that I use in Windows. Any help? TIA

Boot with your windows install disc and use it to restore windows' boot manager. Then use any windows or bootable partitioning (such as parted magic (bootable cd) or paragon (windows)) software to get rid of the ubuntu partitions and enlarge the adjacent partitions.

+1.

Make sure to remove the partition of Ubuntu afterwards if you want the space back .

What you want to do (in the following order):

- Restore the MBR to the Windows one instead of GRUB.
- Remove Linux partition with Windows Disk Management.
- Increase the size of your Windows partition(s) using Windows Disk Management.
