So I'm a brand new Linux user along with Windows, finally decided to try it last night so I popped it in, got everything set up. I forgot I need drivers for my USB wifi stick, can someone help me out?
It's a DLink Airplus G unit, DWL-G122 rev.B1 If I can get some Linux drivers, it would be appreciated!

It should detect it straight away. You may need to set up the connection or install a wifi connection manager.

I'm using the newest version of Ubuntu. So should I go into Linux, and unplug and replug in the usb?
And if it does auto-detect, how do i install? I recall someone telling me installation is quite different than windows...

ok... that didn't work. I went into Ubuntu to the main screen, unplugged it, replugged it, tried different ports, and unplugged the USB stick from it's cradle and no window or activity occurred.
Is there something I'm missing?

Ok I found the drivers CD for my USB stick. I have zero experience installing drivers for linux, and the link about the program to emulate those drivers is for Suse... Also I have no idea how to do much of that.
Can anyone help me? Can I use the drivers on the CD? It's for windows, but will it work? Or are there actual drivers for this thing for Linux? Once again, it's the DLink AirPlus G DWL-G122 Wifi USB Adapter rev.b

i learned from a more advanced linux user that no drivers exist for this model for linux. I'm assuming it is not plug n play because it was not plug and play for windows. Is there a chance it will be for ubuntu?
