bought The Acer aspire SA-90 late 2006 for £300 as an OEM machine... I upgraded the ram probably around 2008? to 4gb, although the motherboard only supports 3gb (this is not due to 32bit limitation as even 64bit OS's say "3GB ram"). I then decided to use the computer as a low noise/low power home theater and bought some cheap parts from ebay while working within the PSU limitations... the GPU was £25 and the CPU was £31 and it made a big difference.

Not sure if a HD 6450 is bottlenecked running on a PCI-E 1.1 lane but is seems fine and it gave a huge improvement over a HD 2400 pro! I can actually do some light gaming... I run skyrim from my external HDDs backup from my Gaming PC and It run fine... only problem was it was stuck in windowed mode at something like 400x100ish? lol so I wouldn't really call that confirmation it can run it.
