It probably did void my warranty... But thank God, no problems thus far. Warranty is up in 8 days... Wow, it's already been a year

A couple things:

1. You can't upgrade the CPU. It's soldered to the board.

2. Upgrading the HDD is sooo easy. I can give you the steps right here: Take out battery, unscrew the 3 screws for the memory cover, pull tab up and out, and out comes your HDD. Slide in the new one and reverse the process for putting it back together.

3. I'm sure you know, but a faster HDD (I'm assuming by that, you mean 7200RPM) will reduce battery life a little bit. From what I heard, it'll reduce battery life by about 10%. Might be worth it.

4. If you do decide to take apart the laptop, please, please, please draw a rough sketch of your computer, draw dots for the screws, and put the corresponding screws on those dots. Virtually each individual screw goes in its own unique hole; if you mix them up together, good luck putting it back together.

Well, all of the above still applies, except the HDD won't affect the battery life (there will be no battery life), and getting inside won't be as easy
