Default Leopard 10.5.3 Released

The third "service pack" for Leopard is out now. It's BIG. The combo update (for those running 10.5.0-10.5.2) is 536MB, and the regular update (for those running the most recent 10.5.2 only and nothing before it) is 420MB.

http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/

The regular update will only work if you have the previous update (as of now, 10.5.2). The combo update will work for any version of 10.5. So if you reinstall your OS, and say that it installs version 10.5.1, you'll need the combo update.

Well, it's much faster in terms of desktop use. Programs have been opening up quicker than they already have been previously, and booting/shutdown is faster than it previously had been. I can't comment on stability seeing how I've never had an issue in 10.5.2.

I guess I'll wait and see how it works on hackintoshes then, it sounds like its just a few background tweaks and some bugfixes that i'd never see. Its just takes too long to update it without a vanilla kernel :/ Thx for letting me know.

And thx rabidgnome for the list too, it helped

I can't comment at all about hackintosh; I don't know how to get it working or anything. I should really try it, though lol
