It was a joke as you've been known to say a LOT of Pro-Mac Statements.
I can see why. I know that, I was just saying what turns me, as a person, off from using a Mac as my main computer.

Now the number of actual users is very significant. A number of the businesses said that they had 50 or 100 or even several thousand Macs deployed."
I am basically going to ignore the "even several thousands"...because when the word "even" is used in this context it always means in a very few circumstances or possibly one. So if a place has 50-100 macs out of thousands of PCs it counting in the 8 out of 10. I think it is rather embarassing for Apple to have two out of ten large businesses not having any mac arround at all. Also in the article it mentioned that some of them had macs with Vista or XP on them...still using the Mac hardware I guess, but to me this is a Windows vrs Apples sort of thing.

A) The article title would have been less confusing if it had read "80% of businesses we hand picked have at least 1 Mac on the premises. Yes, some have more or even a thousand". They said nothing about exclusivity for the entire 80%.
B) This one cracked me up. Read it once, then read it again slowly and tell me why it's so funny. Quote:

And I don't say as much pro-mac stuff as I do "anti-anti-mac" lol

) when I quoted and bold-ed that statement, but what I was meaning to point out is that there is no "Mac hardware" anymore. No Motorola, no FB-DIMM necessities. etc... This would, in part, indicate, at least by their (the review/statistics site) methodology that some consumers are unaware that the primary reason behind Mac being a solid 'system' is it's OS and not necessarily their 'hardware'. IMHO. [/confusing run on sentence]Yes, functionality as whole and ascetics come into play, and personally I have nothing against Macs, I'd own one as a laptop in a second. cg

Oh yea I forgot to mention that my college has ~10 Macs in our downstairs library computer lab. That was about 2 years ago....I haven't been around in about that time. THey may have more now. Our school has a MS Campus Agreement where any student can download Office 2003, Office 2007, or Vista Business x86 for free........and they don't require keys
__________________![]() WHat I gathered from the article is that of the 100 businesses they interviewed, 80 had at least one Mac....this doesn't mean that %Macs=[(Total deployed Macs)\(Total deployed PCs)]*100 I still don't see the number being feasible.
