Last I recall there was a recent court ruling that stated that the part of the EULA that says that is null & void.

I think it's pretty obvious... If you have a legally acquired copy of something they cannot tell you what you can and can't do with it, so long as it's not used in the commission of a felony. Besides, this is overclock.net after all. Have we not unashamedly told people with PC's every single way to violate their warranties? Have we not broken countless EULAs by telling people every trick to get more than what the man sold to us?

p.s. comb your hair down.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it is not illegal if Apple simply states this in their EULA. Someone brought up a good point once, there is no "Apple Police" thats going to knock down your front door and arrest you. The DCMA prohibits circumventing copyright protection, so I don't think getting an operating system you own to run on a PC is illegal, as I'm not sure it's a form of copy protection. There are companies that are still selling hackintoshes to my knowledge, so I honestly don't think it's "illegal". People can't just throw around the word illeagal when they see something in an EULA. For example: Apple says you can authorize 5 machines. There is nothing written in stone that just says "thou must only auhtorize 9 machines", it's just some arbitrary number they came up with. However, in this case it would violate that lovely act known as the DCMA if you were to circumvent this, but that's not the point.

Well since the EULA doesn't hold any legal grounds and since it is not illegal to download a copy of something you already own (since you are really paying for the software license), I fail to see the problem.

Actually, I think it is still illegal to download a disk off the internet. I believe the only circumstance under which you may own a copy is if it was a copy of your own disk in the first place, a copy which you made yourself.
