Macbook Air horribly wrong? No, they didn't get that wrong. For it's class, its fairly cheap. The Sony Viao TZ starts at $2100 and lets be honest, it has pretty awful performance, while the Macbook Air starts at $1800 and has tons more power (1.6ghz C2D in the base vs 1.06ghz C2D in the base, GMAX3100 in the MBA vs GMA950 in the TZ)

Maybe for what it is, it isn't that bad. But I don't like what it is, and I think that's what the OP was trying to get at. Instead of "thinner, thinner, thinner," I would have liked to see more compact, as in the EEE and this here MSI Wind.

The Dell E is basically the same thing as the Wind, only it has a planned release price of 300$. That's what I'm waiting for, and I'm crossing my fingers so it'll work Hackintosh.
For the Apple UMPC thing... it isn't gonna happen, it's the total opposite of Apple's philosophy.

Nope, not small enough. I want something that I could possibly walk around with and use. With a MacBook, or even MBA, you have to find a place to sit down and use it.

Apple Doesn't Love You

There are quite a few people with Eee's at my school, I can't say I've ever seen one of them walking while using it. You want an iPhone, not a laptop
