check his sig, it says 4xx.x gb so im guessing a 500gb hdd, but i think it is possible to put another hdd in a macbook with some modding and removal of the disc drive

you could also do a 4gb stick and a 2gb stick

Not according to apple. None of the regular MacBooks supported more than 2GB sticks, and there are only 2 slots. Also, there is only one SATA interface internally for drives, and absolutely no space for a second.

All I can think of is he's using externals and has listed those, but that doesn't explain the RAM.

Not challenging him - I'd LOVE to get more RAM and a second drive in my MacBook.. if I could get two drives, I'd run my spare X25 SSD as boot, and put a 500GB 7200RPM in for data/apps..
