I notice my macbook pro(new unibody design) heats up some when I am gaming and using the 9600gt. When I have the 9400m enabled which is what the macbook has it NEVER heats up unless i am gaming but it doesnt heat up much at all. As for noise, these things are VERY quiet unless you put a disc in, the optical drive is kind of noisy, but the rest is silent. The 9600gt is a little noisy but not bad at all. My laptop also feels very sturdy and durable, that was the main reason I waited for the new one instead of jumping on the old white Macbook.

With a 5400rpm drive it's absolutely quiet. When it's plugged in under full load, mine gets to about 75C, but under battery I've never seen it go over 65C.

got tired of the dreadful PC-based laptops that seemed to die after a couple of years. Looked at Lenovo, but were overpriced compared to Mac and Dell ... never again.
I have the following Macbook (new model) and I love it, especially with the fact that I have UNIX shells below this wonderful OS. I think my PCs just got a bit jealous ![]() 13.3" 2.4GHz C2D, 2GB 1066 DDR3, 250G HDD, Mac OS 10.5.5, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M. Just so you all dont think I'm a total Apple fanboi, I do have 3 PCs
