so i was mistaken. its a powerbook g4 1.5ghz but still at $150 i couldnt pass it up

That's a good deal. Only drawbacks are that you can't use stuff like VirtualBox.

yeah i actually got it to boot off of the original drive.
it just needed a little coaxing with a leopard install disk (just did a repair disk) and a threat to be opened up.

Wow, $150 for that Powerbook? They usually go for about $300-400 depending on the condition and specs.

My friend has the 12inch Powerbook but its out of commission because it needs repairing. Which size did you get?

SMCFanControl - Manually control fans for any intel Mac
iStat Pro - A widget that monitors every aspect of your Mac

Oh and I almost forgot AppZapper! It gets rid of preference files or any other files an application leaves behind.

Are you able to find a fresh battery for it? Do they even make new batteries for those models? I'd hate to have one that can't hold charge anymore, because then it would reduce the system to a desktop. But for $100, who can complain, right?
