I would purchase one, just for the use of GarageBand. GarageBand updated for use with an Apple Tablet would be amazing.

Just looking at that picture, if it was actually like that, with the piano like that, it would be incredible useful.

It looks awesome. I doubt I'd buy one myself even though I am an avid Apple fan. :P I hope this gives Apple a big boost as I can see these little guys are going to take off.

Also, the GMA x4500HD can do HD playback just fine. It works well.
Though, I seriously doubt they would use a current Atom solution, it's not the Apple Style, as they normally have much more competent hardware in their line ups.

AMD can pare an Athlon Neo (Essentially an Athlon 64 Low Voltage) & HD3200 to do HD playback just fine.
: ) good to know the x4500HD can do 1080p just fine.

Ya, but for the price, I was just thinking the same thing with AMD, or even an HD3200. It's just I don't know if intel has anything with HD playback that could fit in an ultra thin for under a grand.

They could always use the ion. Apple uses Nvidia GPUs in all their computers.

I have high hopes for this device but there is no way it can compete with a dedicated ebook reader. What a lot of people don't understand is that an ebook reader is not just some portable device with an LCD screen on it. They have eInk screens which appear to the eye just as ink on paper, it's not a "display" like on any other portable device, it looks just like the printed page of a book. That is also why the ebook readers aren't cheap, the screens are still somewhat expensive. So no normal portable device can compare with a dedicated ebook reader due to the different screen technologies.
