Default OSX For Dummies Type Thing?

Ok, I'll bet the actual book "Mac OSX For Dummies" probably exists. But I'm looking for a book (in digital or physical form) that I can buy for my girlfriend, preferably not from the "for dummies" line.. That's just mean :P. She just started her college course for graphic design, and they gave her a brand new Powerbook Pro. Now, I got more experience with computers then the average person, but not with a mac, and I hate to see her struggle. So I'm pretty much looking for a book that can help her be just as productive in OSX, as she is when she's on XP, or Vista.

Just a small example. Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
Doesn't exist in OSX..

Nuff' said.

I'm open to all recommendations, and thanks in advance guys. (and gals :P)

I still think the book above could help quite a bit!

My dad (and myself) need one of these to understand the MacBook he got from work.

I thought Macs were supposed to be so easy to use and so idiot proof, but I couldn't figure out how to do some of the most basic thing you should be able to do easily, taking a screenshot for example. All it's turned out to be is exactly what we both thought it would be, a horrible unintuitive POS. I'm willing to learn more about it though, and I guess that's all that matters.

Honestly, this is a fantastic resource:
http://www.apple.com/mac/

I just got a MacBook this past summer and I had no idea how to navigate and do anything. This website helps a lot and gives you detailed video tutorials on how to do things.

Ok, I'll look into those books, and the link is good too. Maybe just one book? With a little of everything?

Just trying to get more suggestions before I dip into my back to school fund :P

You could buy the mac for dummies book for yourself and read it, then just give her pointers when needed. She would be all "you're so awesome with cpu's" and then proceed to give you lovins.

I like this strategy.

Does she even want to read a book to learn...? She may prefer sitting back and watching a video, then doing it on her own.
