Default macbook network issues
i have a black macbook and i'm having some weird issues with the airport...

it connects to my network just fine however it keeps telling me there is no internet connection and i just can't figure out what is wrong.

can you guys give me any ideas? thanks!

thanks for the help free.

i rebooted the router but it still doesn't connect. i feel like its the macbook itself... as i have my PS3 and techstation all connected wirelessly.. it's just this laptop.

Odd,I had a problem where iTunes wouldnt open if I had the Airport on and not connected to a network (This was on an iMac)

What version of OSX are you on,I'll ask a freind of mine who knows alot more about OSX than me later

I dont know any commands like I do in windows.. IE: ipconfig etc

Ah,did you have the problem with 10.5.x ?

My mate says there are lots of little glitches with Snow Leopard.This might be one of them

Did you open up network preferences to make sure you were set for DHCP and all that?

10.6 has a very nice diagnotic to walk you through connecting to the wireless network and troubleshooting any issues - it's right below where you turn the air port on and off (in the menu bar)..

yea, i made sure everything was like it was before. it was working perfectly up until last night even with 10.6

just did it for the sake of doing it and it says that it couldn't be fixed.. i just don't get it.

another thing, i was just at school and i connected to the school's network and i got the same problem.. man.. is my macbook shot?
