I don't think so. The only thing I can think of is to click the apple logo on the top left, go to About this computer and then there should be something called Specifications or something along those lines. I know it will tell you the amount, I'm not sure if it will tell you anything else.

Apple Menu --> About This Mac
Then from there click on "More Info" Or, alternatively, you can go to /Applications/Utilities/System Profiler.app

Power Mac:
__________________I think it takes up to about 1GB Ram here is a link on how to install it http://www.macinstruct.com/node/162 iMac g4: I think it can take up to 1gb too here is a link on how to install it in the iMac too http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2989 Ps, I think the imac might only take up to 2 mobile ram cards..... I'm not an expert on the mid macs, im only an expert on the 70's-80's macs, and 2007-present Macs

Go to the apple page for tech specs: http://support.apple.com/specs/#
Enter your serial number, your model will come up, click on it to view detailed specs for your system, including memory type and capacity. ..a

Glad that worked for you - I found it when looking for the same thing for my MacBook - how on earth did I know when it was manufactured?
