Default Can MacBook be used as media extender (1080p playback)?
Hey guys,

I have the unibody (aluminum) MacBook from this year. Would it be able to act as a media extender and display up to 1080p alright?

Thinking about getting the mini display port > HDMI connector

Are we talking Windows Media Extender?

Then no, for whatever reason Microsoft decided that it would be a stupid idea to let people use their laptops instead of expensive standalones, because nobody in their right mind would ever want to do that.

lol, i mean as in, I would like to share media between my MacBook and my PC so i can just use my MacBook in the living room when I want to watch movies from my HD.

wouldnt just a shared folder on the windows rig work?

as for 1080p since u have a nvidia GPU macbook i figure its possible, i know the intel GPUs cant push that resolution
