Hello everyone,
__________________I have a Late 2007 Macbook that I thought I wouldn't need Applecare for, so I didn't buy it. Yes, I know that was a stupid move and I regret it. Cause now, my backlight inverter cable has died, and a few keys on my keyboard are broken. My 1 year Warranty ended in February 2009. So I am wondering is there any way that I can get Applecare now??? I have heard that you may be able to get Applecare if you buy one off ebay or craigslist that was bought before that time, and I've even heard that you can use a new one and just say you forgot to activate it. I would really like to know if it is even possible with a brand new copy that is made for my macbook year. cause I would rather pay $180 for Applecare than to pay $500 for repairs. Thank You Mast3rRoot

Don't think you can do it. I'm pretty sure they attach apple care with your S/N. And there's no way they'll allow you to buy warranty after it's expired/something has broken.

That is sort of the whole point. You can't buy insurance after the fact.

I've never registered our AppleCare and they let us use it,
