Default Got a Mac :)

So I got a Mac three days ago, Macbook Pro to be exact, and quite frankly it's awesome. (Specs in sig for those interested). I still do have my rig so I'm not a 'fanboy,' but I am starting to feel like one

I have Snow Leopard and it's pretty cool, I like the Spaces App a lot (Reminds me of Linux ), system is pretty stable, but I need to upgrade the RAM...

I installed Windows 7 Ultimate (Don't ask how I got it...) with Parallels and it was pretty slow, but I think a RAM upgrade will fix that.

A huge issue was that the battery was DOA, so it's a "desktop" for now, going to the Apple Store to get a new battery.

I also did buy AppleCare, ($100 off educational discount ftw), and the Mac itself was on discount, so I think I got a good deal...paid $1738 after taxes for the Mac itself and the 3 Year AppleCare.

I've got Office 2008 for it, Mailplane (Gmail on your desktop, it's really cool), and a few other programs.

The whole aluminum look is hot, and half the appeal I've now noticed.

When I'll be able to move it around and stuff I think I'm really going to love this thing.

Anyways, yeah...I got a MacBook Pro

That's exactly what stops me from buying Apple hardware. Dollar/performance ratio.

Enjoy your MBP
Theyre great laptops and look amazing. I love my late 08

I've never enjoyed Parallels performance either, but when I installed natively (using bootcamp) it was a much better experience.

Now you reminded me I still need to get snow leopard..
