Default Recommend for running 7 on Mac

I have 118 GB of space left on my HDD on this Mac laptop, how much space is recommended to run Windows 7 as a dual boot on this laptop. I am also guessing it isnt hard to setup a partition for Win 7 on mac?

What mac do you have? I recently put Windows 7 on my wife's MacBook Pro. As for space, it really depends on what you plan to put on your Windows 7 partition. I would do 10 GB at the very least if you plan to install nothing, only try Windows 7. If you plan on doing games and larger programs, you will probably want at least 50GB.

If you are running Leopard (or Snow Leopard) just use Boot Camp. It is very simple to set up.

If you don't foresee youself putting much more on the Mac partition, I'd give yourself 75GB or so for Win 7. That is plenty of room for a some games and other programs and still giving you some room for more. That leaves 35GB for your MAC partition.

I gave Windows 7 50GB, and the remaining 200GB to OSX.

I also just purchased a MacBook Pro. I'm still debating whether or not to install w7 on it. I don't really see a need as of right now since i don't necessarily "need" gaming on the go.

The only thing that's really holding me back from installing it is one of Anand's article. He Tested a MBP with both OSX and i believe Windows 7 (could be Vista, i could be wrong). And the MBP had almost double the battery life in OSX compared to Windows.
