Question Antivirsus for Mac OS leopard 10.5.8 ???
hi...


a quick question ! what's the best FREE anti-virus to go with Mac 10.5.8 ( I think it's Leopard )


and does that Anti-Virus have any side issues or any unwanted matters ???

I am on a hurry please !

it's not a virus issues... but let me explain the matter, simply, here at the newspaper i work for... we have either Macs and PCs, and i already know that Macs are immune, but this doesn't mean that Windows viruses can't lurk somewhere in those macs via USB sticks, and from this fact... we need an anti-virus for scanning those USB sticks, before we plug them again into any PC, and some PCs here don't even have an anti-virus installed, so that's all, and this mac I am talking about is quite new, we only got it yesterday, ( I will tell you about it later, to get your opinion about it , but now I am on a hurry ) so we need things go the correct way, and now... what do you say ???

I don't know much about macs except that my office has 4 of them and I hate every one of them because I don't know how to use it well


But really I would just install Antivirus on the PC - there are several FREE versions available!

AVG, Avast being my first two choices

Clam Antivirus is one that I've seen around. I personally don't use Antivirus on my mac.

Would a Mac based antivirus actually detect windows-designed viruses or simply focus on mac based viruses....

If it doesn't then that would defeat the purpose wouldn't it?
