Default Password Box?

Hi all,

I recently took the password off my user account on my mac (macbook 13.3" - running Leopard 10.5.7).

Well when i turn the unit on after it has been shutdown, it then shows up the loin box

Which i just press enter, and we are in.... Seems pretty pointless to me.

So anyway i wondered if there is anyway to et round this box, i did think about loading the mac osx disk and going to utilities and resetting the password, but i alread have no password

All help much appreciated

what you do is, you go into system preferences once you log in. Click on Accounts, unlock the lock so you can edit things. Then you click on the "Login Options" button. from there, you can choose to show the name and password fields, or a list of the users in which you just click on the users. with the list, if you click on your user, it would log you in. Or you could have your mac log you in automatically.
You can change all that from that menu.

This is assuming you are using Mac OSX Leopard or Later.
