browsing won't work correctly [snow leopard]
I am asking a question that my friend is having a problem with.
after installing snow leopard, there have been some problems with browsing the internet. For some reason most webpages won't load, the exceptions are gmail and google, just about everything else won't load. He has tried firefox, safari and google chrome with no luck, also he plays WoW which always stays connected. any thoughts?

Try refreshing the connection info. His DNS might be screwed up. I'm not a mac guy so I don't know how to go about doing that though. :/

that was first on my list when I get a chance too look at it, he is not very computer savvy. Thanks though.

maybe its a VIRUS!!!!!!!
no but seriously it shouldn't do that... but actually, that almost sounds like the symptoms of a virus...

That's possible I guess, I am not sure how to go about removing/finding a virus on OSX though, I will look into it

Snow leopard sometimes breaks DNS over wireless.
Plug him in to his router wired, and I bet it works. You can google "snow leopard dns" and find extensive info on apple forums and macrumours about this.. ..a
