I have here the first razr model that came out, and i really like it. Unfortunately, it is malfunctioning. This phone is not new, but the problems started just recently. When i put my sim card in and turn it on, the phone works well all for about 5 minutes. Then when i close it the outside screen goes black and i cannot hear anything while talking. Im not sure if this could be a connection problem, but i was not able to open the phone because the screws were very little. I am thinking its not a connection problem with any wires because it works for 5 minutes then goes away. Is there anyway to download a phones "Operating System" and refresh it completely through software and a usb cable. (If this is illegal please tell me and i will remove it) Thanks for reading.

You need to "Flash" Your Firmware + boot on the phone - This is the Phones "OS"

Use this and work through the guides, Starting with "Get Connected"

Just remember to backup all you Important Files (Pictures, Ringtones Ect.)

I did this with my SLVR L7 + I now have faster boots + Custom Itunes + Custom Startup Sequence + Ulimited Text Size

I have nothing to back up, but it jsut redoes the OS, and everything goes to stock settings just with a custom OS?
Edit: OK, it includes no ringers,no java, no nothing. Is there firmware i could DL with all of this?

It doesnt have to be a custom OS - If you want You can download the Stock Default Flash or a Monster pack (Which is the Flex + Flash in one package)

Give me a sec I will get a link for the Stock Flash - What Network or Provider are you on?
