topic^ Ive had my 3G since February and was wondering if I can go into the AT&T store and see if they would let me get the 3G S? Or is there some catch where I have to pay $500 cause my contract isnt over or renew my contract?

Don't think it's possible. ATT announced somewhere that you couldn't do it.

Nothing really interesting about the new phone anyway, the 3G is still good.

No you can't. They offered the upgrade to iPhone owners that bought last year. Totally worth the upgrade.

FieryCOD doesn't know what he's talking about. The speed of the phone is worth the upgrade itself. One of the things I really like is the auto scroll when you're typing a lot and it keeps your text centered.

Sorry to tell you this but you probably will have to pay a low as $400 for the Iphone 3GS. I would call ATT and ask them when you are eligible to upgrade and they will let you know. I know someone who went in to go buy one for $200 and they told him he actually needed to pay $400 since he wasn't "eligible" for upgrade.

That's correct. Since you're still technically under contract and paying off the cost of your current phone, youll be charged around $400 to upgrade.

But you can add another line to your account for $9.99 a month and get the iphone at the upgrade price. I am currently doing this, and tossing my mom a cheapo phone to use to keep in touch
