How long does it take? I activated about 30 minutes ago and my phone still says no service.

30 minutes? It was automatic for me. If it doesn't come around soon, I'd call AT&T or go to the store.

It depends.
__________________Remove the Sim card, then turn off the phone completely. Put the sim card back in, then turn the phone back on. Connect it via iTunes, and it should be activated shortly. It shouldn't take longer than 10-15 minutes for activation to complete, but there could be issues with the AT&T system at random times. Edit: Glad it was fixed ![]() Sometimes it can take a while or they could have just had a network error. Congrats on the 3GS! Next step: Jailbreak 3.0.1, and then customize it with Winterboard and SBSettings!
