Default iPhone 2G/3G 3.1.2 Jailbreak out!

That's the 3.1.2 custom IPSW file. It will activate your iPhone 2G, although will not unlock it.

It's currently unconfirmed if this will tamper your unlock. If you have an official 2G without an unlock, then all systems ARE go.

Anyone tried the one for 2G ? Does it work ? I have 3.0 right now and it is jailbroken and unlocked. As far as I can understand from what's written above with this custom firmware you'll be able to jailbreak 2G 3.1 but it won't unlock right ?

As soon as it is proven that this does not tamper with the unlock all systems are go for me!
I really am not good in jailbreaking + unlocking phones by myself, I bought my iphone 2g 8gb unlocked and jailbroken. So i'm not going to take a chance atm, im going to wait for others who KNOW what they are doing lol

Blackra1n takes 10 seconds, and then add on how long it takes your device to boot, and its done... Just 1 click.

if you cant manage that then... ....

This is basically an IPSW with Cydia installed. I think it's much more easier to do than just use blackra1n, although blackra1n supports the iPod Touches. Oh well, I'm going to use PwnageTool on my iPod as I already used this IPSW and it works fine on my iPhone 3G.
