I'm not sure which one I have as all I know is mines is the T mobile one. Also do i need an unlocked phone to do this update?

Those are all for the same phone, but depending on which area you are in or which one you want will depend on what you download.
You do not need an unlocked phone to do so. I would check T-mo's site to see if they have the new release you can download. Otherwise.. the forums at xda-developers.com are a good place to find ROM's.. both cooked and OEM releases.
