The camera is consistently the one thing I hear bad things about. I don't take pictures often so the camera quality isn't the most important to me, so I'm not worried.

My Dare takes amazing pictures, but I guess it's got some special lens or something. I hope I am not majorly depressed switching phones.

I think it's really a vocal minority. The pictures mine takes are fine, and there are some superb looking droid pictures posted here and there if you look around.

TBH picture quality is of almost ZERO importance to me. As long as it takes some type of picture, I'm happy. For important photos, I use a real camera.

When I heard my contract terms over the phone, it mentioned a $175 ETF. I'm wondering if those of us that signed up before the 15 will be grandfathered in, thus avoiding the $350 ETF.

I didn't get a FedEX email today, so I'm hoping nothing went wrong. Either way, I'll be calling tomorrow to check on the term fee.

I really like this phone. Especially the clarity of the screen. You can't even distinguish pixels, they're so dense. I like the physical keyboard better then the touch one, with the exception of autocomplete only with the touchpad. People with big fingers will have a problem with both. In comparison with the iPhone they're the same. I make as many mistakes on each of them.

As for the camera. It opens quicker with the app button compared to the actual button on the phone, and the delay of actually taking the picture is slow. That's my only problem so far with this phone. The quality of pictures is great though, same for videos.

I was browsing for apps almost all night, there are a lot and many useful, and of course not so useful ones. They store could use some better options though, like arranging them. You can search, or browse manually, but I'd like to see an "arrange by letter, or price (for the non-free ones), or rating.

Advanced Task Killer Free is a must. Stuff you start up will continue to run in the background and use the battery, so I check this when I'm done with my phone and kill anything I don't want running.
Meebo IM is the one of few IM clients that I've gotten to work properly with Eclair. HI AIM was all messed up.
I got the apps to put a switch for GPS, and WiFi on my homepage to quickly turn them on and off. They both work well too. The GPS location on the maps is almost frighteningly close. My brother and I were outside a restaurant waiting for some friends and it put us like 5 parking spots down from where we actually were.

My problem is I rely on my cellphone to be a "real" camera.

Ah yes...videos I forgot about that. Good to hear.

Oh nos! It's 10:30AM here and I still don't have a tracking number.

*sniff*

I might be DROID less until Monday. Because of this I must live vicariously through you guys! So get out there and start taking pics! Get some shots of your dogs and the trees and the awesomeness that is outside! Give me more app recommendations and post more impressions!

Glad to hear this thing is as good as it was promoted to be. I'm hoping to be able to get one this weekend. It will be sad to stop using my LG VX8700, but I'm sick of the battery dying overnight when it was at either 3 or 4 bars the night before.

Default bought it

Simply stated, this phone is kick ass. I have shown 2 of my friends who have iPhones this phone, and they were actually blown away/ in shock that something is out there that is as fast as the iphone.

This phone is not meant to be an iphone killer, it is just that capable and really good at almost everything that it will draw comparisons. If anyone is still waiting to get this phone - I would recommend you grab it. I'm completely blown away with how awesome this thing is.
