ZionEx's T-mo/Cliq Appreciation Post
Well I am posting simply because I have had a very positive experience with T-Mobiles customer service. Originally I was using a Blackberry Curve 8320 which was less than satisfactory to me. The biggest kicker was that it was a 2G phone and I was paying about $95 a month for Unlimited Text, Web and 600 minutes. Needless to say with only 4 months in to my contract I was feeling pretty unhappy about my choices having moved from Verizon simply because I wanted to start using GSM phones but only saving $10 a month by doing so.
Enter the Motorola Cliq. I was looking at paying the same per month but at least it would be a 3G phone and I could actually have a true full HTML browser which is a big step up from the crap that is the Blackberry browser.
Enter Project Black, Dark, Opaque, turn the lights on, whatever the hell people call it. T-Mobile, Thank you! I was able to not only switch my phone over to the Project pricing, I was able to switch it to the contract-less pricing for just $35 with still 20 months left. I am no longer on a contract and I'm now paying $60 a month for 500 minutes, unlimited text and unlimited Web. Huzzah!
Yes I know some people don't think T-Mobiles coverage is that great. If you are happy with your carrier thats awesome. I am simply showing my appreciation to T-Mo for helping my wallet out.
On a side note, why does my Cliq render SNES roms better than my EZFlash V on my DS?? o_O
Also on the Cliq, it seems the D-pad is used like the scroll ball on the G1 and myTouch. This makes it pretty hard to use for games since if you press one direction, it stays moving in that direction till you press the center or another direction.
Anyone doing any Android modding and developing, let me know. I would like to start messing with it and would enjoy having someone to bounce ideas and code off of.
