Default [MSN] AT&T sues Verizon over "There's a map for that"

Quote:
AT&T is suing Verizon over its recent campaign titled "There's a Map for That" -- a tongue-in-cheek take on the oft-repeated line "There's an app for that" in iPhone commercials.

AT&T is accusing the company of false advertising based on the ad's comparison of 3G coverage in either service. Whereas Verizon's coverage map is a sea of red, AT&T's barely freckles the country. The title underneath states that Verizon offers five times as much 3G coverage throughout the US.
There's more in the Source.

Kinda makes sense, though...while the ad quickly specifies 3G service, it's easy to confuse that with all wireless service.

To the average consumer, all they see is 3G, and sadly the made up 4G term. GSM is superior to EVDO but the coverage of CDMA/EVDO with Verizon outdoes the GSM of ATT. I'm getting the Droid and would love it if Verizon had GSM, but sadly they don't. It's all turned into a generic term for high bandwidth service.

I'm curious as to where EVDO is available on the Verizon map, since they only use the GSM map of ATT and not their EDGE coverage, to make it look like VZW blows them away.
