how not to loose everything on my iphone

i recently formated my hard drive, without making a copy of the backup file for my iphone. now i'm afraid to loose everything if i start itune.

Well, typically it asks you if you'd like to transfer over your library before it syncs. I wouldn't go about it doing so just yet though.
You'll get this message: ![]() Hit cancel. Then copy the contents of the iphone (from My Computer) onto your desktop, just incase you accidentally overwrite them. This may help you with the rest: http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/art...to-computer/P0
