I read the reviews on this site and read something about bleeding with this monitor should I be worried before I buy. Also you you get this prob?

I bought this monitor to replace a trusty old IBM 17" P70.

The panel is very fast, with no blurring evident at all. As this is a TN TFT the colours are not perfect (only 16.2M instead of 16.7M) so using it for graphics work may not be ideal.

with a DVI connection the fonts etc are very crisp and accurate.

One bad point with this monitor is that it suffers from backlight bleeding! this is around the edges of the monitor especially along the bottom of the monitor where it extends about 1cm into the picture. this is quite evident on DVD playback and games that are generally dark. The blacks appear as blues along the bottom.

Also the viewing angle isn't enormous especially vertically. its still readable at 30-40 degress horizontally but I do see quite a colour drift when you view from these angles (whites take on a yellow hue).

I've been looking as this one as well. With respect to color bleeding, the dealer I shop at has one on display running a dvd and I've seen no evidence of this whatsover.

As to the viewing angle, who cares? You adjust the monitor to suit your sitting position and thats it. If you have people beside you that can't see it, too bad tell them to get their own!

Just ordered one for a friend, installed with an X850XT PE.. works perfect and flawless for what she needs it for. It's 19" so yea.. whatever man. Works good, no dead pixels. And yea.. the viewing angle.. you gonna sit to the left of your comp or something? 19" is to small for a TV.. :-p

I have a Samsung (940BF) and 60Hz is pretty much the way 2 go... I can also set it @ 75Hz, but doesn't seem to make a noticeable diffrence, so don't worry about it.

I'm sure you'll be very happy with your purchase... personally I like my monitor, but the backlight "bleeding" at the bottom especiall, does bother me when I watch anamorphic movies.

Jimmy

Setting the Hz higher will increase visual artifacts, 60hz is fine.
