Hey, I got this monitor for free and it works amazing and everything but some like application is still like burned into the screen, like you can lightly see it and see it pretty well when its off. Its so annoying! Anyway to get rid of it?

Someone had the brightest/contrast up way to high and left it there for a long long time.. I don't think its repairable. Sorry =(
Leaving a image on a monitor for a long period of time is bad, Ive never had a CRT have burn-in issues but plasmas have it. LCDs can have a type of burn-in but its never permenant. I think your CRT is ruined.

If you leave the same image on a monitor for a very long time (like a couple days), it will actually burn into the glass on the front of the monitor.

But the application burnt in is very very light and cant see it unless you look at it on like a white background, which means it burnt in there but I can still see everything on my monitor just fine. Why couldnt I just put something ALL white on my screen and it burn in, I would still see my applications expect there wouldnt be a difference in the shades of stuff becuz of lines from the burnt application shape. Am I making sense? I know someone gets what I am saying.
