Default Intermittent Blanking?

I've got a Samsung 204BW hooked to an MSI 8600 GTS OC via DVI cable.

every once in a while my screen will blank for 1 to 1+1/2 seconds at a time. Interval is random. sometimes it does it 10 times over a minute and stops, sometimes just once. It does it when browsing the net or when loading the GPU/cpu heavily.

Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions would GREATLY be appreciated.

I hate self-bumping, but I really need to figure out what's failing.

Self bumping is allowed as long as there is 24hours between bumps, so you're okay

Have you tried reinstalling drivers for you 8600? Have you tried another monitor to see if it happens on that too? Try another monitor cable too?

Thanks, I'll try the drivers. Before I go hunting for more cables and another LCD.

Do I need to run Driver Cleaner and then reinstall?

Uninstall the driver through the control panel and then you run drivercleaner.
