Default Games won't start on LCD HDTV?
I hook my rig up to a 46" 1080p lcd hdtv, using a dvi to hdmi wire. The signal goes fine, I set the resolution to 1920x1080, the desktop looks fine. However when I start up a game (bf 2142) it won't start, the screen goes black for a second like it's starting but then it just returns to desktop. When I switch out from the tv back to my monitor the games load up fine. Am I missing something?

Make sure you have not got any Launch specific commands in your BF2142 shortcut

I had the same problems when I was switching monitors. It didnt matter if it was crt or lcd. As soon as I had a different monitor connected the game wouldn't load. My problems were with BF2 so I wonder if its something with that particular series.

I dont have a great solution, maybe something stupid in the registry, but I do know that when I reinstalled the game everything worked fine.

Did you reinstall your graphic drivers? THere may be some input related settings, as I get this in the CCC with my HDTV:

I did not try reinstalling my video drivers. I loaded up other games, like KOTOR2, with no problems at all. Yeah I play a lot of older games...lol. Like I said I am sure there is an easy fix, but the BF2 tech support is horrible so I just reinstalled it.
