depends on the game. older games like battelfield two need a exe mod to run proper. games like call of duty 2 run amazing widescreen and do indeed increase you LOS.

whats interesting is that widescreen settings are actually banned in battlefield because its considered a hack

almost all of the newer titles support widescreen mode. you gave to see call of duty 4 at 1680x1050 maxed out on my monitor

Yeah, you will see more if you play at the screens native resolution.

On topic: Samsung 226BW is a very good screen! You wont get disappointed.

As most have said, the Samsung 226BW is probably the best 22" on the market, atm.

Wait two weeks for Black Friday. I'm sure there will be at least one 22" on sale.

If you check out maximum pc's site, they did a comarison of a couple of 22" a few months back. you can get some real good info there. lets see if I can find it......

Here you go. The first couple are 24-inchers but the next bunch are 22".

I like the specs and prices of Sceptre LCD monitors, like the X22WG-1080p or X22WG-Gamer for 22", or the X24WG-1080p or X24WG-Gamer for 24", but I've never heard of them before. User reviews sound good, but does anyone here have any knowledge about them, or experience with them? They seem to be an awesome bang for the buck monitor, but I want to make sure they don't have some secret problems, as I'm thinking about maybe picking one up.
