Finally have the funds (more or less) to snag a 22" wide screen LCD
![]() I think I can dish out the $270shipped for the Samsung 226BW (which is $45 above my original limit of $225) from Newegg.... Does Newegg have the best deal on this monitor right now? Is this probably my best bet performance:cost wise? And they are guaranteed "S" panels now right? I need some last second input before making the purchase (in about 4-5hours time). I am MORE than willing to swing for a lower priced 22" if you guys can suggest a decently priced alternative (again, $270shipped more than stretching it)

This is a really good monitor, but I took this one over Samsung's:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...acer%2bal2216w I then built my friend a PC with the Samsung 226BW and compared the two monitor next to each other, the 226BW has a better viewing angle (I don't care about that because I always sit in front of my monitor or lay in my bed in front of it), and it's glossy so the colors are perhaps a little more vivid than Acer's, but the difference is still minimal in my opinion, they both look really good without tweaking settings. EDIT: Re-read my post, big time mistake!

The Acer is rather temping considering that it's $40 cheaper...
Still need some input guys! And also still need the verification on panel type... I haven't heard of this issue up until recently ![]()

If your strapped for cash, then yes the Acer 22'' Emmanuel recommended is a really good choice. Seen it myself in action at a friends house. Really good quality with the colors.

. I went with the 206BW back when I was shopping for a LCD, but back then it was a 50/50 chance and I got lucky , I'd go with the Acer or maybe a Viewsonic.
