Do you have children? Because I would be more than happy to rear your child.

I got that now, not sure if the power source being built in will give me any problems.

It might be a little awkward when you take it apart, but it should work fine.

Dear Mootsfox,

I joined the forum just for your help, and to father(or mother) your first born.

Am I right to assume that you just used the laptop to output to the projector without the screen? I was wondering if somehow you could use the LCD screen from an old laptop for this project, being as I have a laptop screen and not an old LCD monitor around.

I'd appreciate your input.

I'm using the laptop just as a computer. It outputs to the monitor that's on the overhead.

Yes it's possible. You would do it the same way as a monitor for the screen, but you would have to keep the laptop close to support the screen. I'm not sure how clear that is... please ask if you have any troubles or questions

I took my screen apart, looks like it will be perfect. The guy with the 3m 9800 is jerking me around though. Says the package had some sort of mixup in shipping, the last person to leave him feedback said he told them the same thing. I'm just hoping he actually sent it media mail and it shows up.

Damnit!, I hooked it all up and the lcd worked but I must have damaged something because there is a horizontal line around the middle, might have to get a new panel or something. Overall I wasn't really impressed, then 5 mins of running it the bulb blew. So I ordered some more and I'm going to wait for those before I decide if i want to go any further with the overhead projector.

Lumenlab.com has a bunch of info on this also.
