Default Why buy a samsung? My experiance

I bought my first samsung monitor a 22" (or was it 21") LCD model 205bw.

Was a hell of a monitor I loved it, and it didnt break my back everytime I had to move it like my 21" CRT does.

Had it since august of 06 and about a month ago after I returned from a weekend out of town it my horror it wouldnt turn on!

no menus, no check signal cable message nothing, just a blue power LED on the front power button staring at me.

We'll I wasn't to upset because I immediately thought what most of us would.... "OMG SWEET! and excuse to upgrade"

That day bought a 24" Samsung 2493HM ..... gave me wet dreams the first night lol

So after having my 22" sit there for a while I went to check how much it would run to have it fixed. Took 10 min filled out all the stuff on Samsungs support page and what do you know.

A replacement is in the mail, when it gets here I just put the old one in the box and mail it back, shipping paid by Samsung both ways.

Never realized they had more than a 1 yr warranty.

So all is looking good, I am fully confident that I wont have issues with the replacement getting here but, i'll post up either way when it does.

So if your looking for a new LCD HINT.... GET A SAMSUNG! :P

*a note on my 24" LCD only issue i have with it is it doesnt quite handle the aspect ratio's correctly when using my xbox360 via its HDMI port but it still looked great and it wasnt that far off.

I just recently got a GIGANTIC desk and my two 19s now look small on it.

E: Another thing that is somewhat related. I have a Samsung and an Acer. It's a long story but I ended up buying these at different times so they are different brands. Anyways, The samsung starts up instantly but the stupid Acer has a freakin boot icon that displays. Like I'm going to forget the monitor was made by Acer.

All the more reason to get a samsung.
