Are there any solutions to clean an LCD screen other than ordering a kit online? If there's any household items that clean the screen well, I would love to know. Thanks in advance.

Ah, that simple. I was thinking it would take some special cleaner or something

well i guess it depends on exactly how dirty you got it
![]() but for finger prints, smudges and dust, the cloth should work fine.

What could I use in combination with a lint free cloth or something? Like windex or some screen cleaning stuff?

I did get a dedicated screen cleaning fluid, but if you look around you can usually pick up some at a decent price. I usually end up with cat nose-prints and such on my screen so I need something that works nicely. I got my current screen and keyboard cleaning fluid for about $2 (250ml lasts ages).
I would not try heavy solvents as they may damage the screen coating.

A lint free microfiber cloth and distilled water are all you need.

I use 1:4 ratio white vinegar to warm water and a nice LCD Shamie (spelling I know) that I received with my 46" Samsung HD TV as well my ACER 24" LCD Monitor.. Works well though maybe a bit douche"like" afterwards.
