(w00t, first VX924)
__________________1. ViewSonic 2. VX924 3. 19" 4. 3ms 5. 1280x1024 6. DVI and VGA 7. 270 cd/m2 8. 550:1 9. 0.294mm **** This monitor is awesome. There is minimal ghosting or other image corruption below whatever refresh rate you are using, and ZERO ghosting/tearing at or above the monitor's set refresh rate. This is true for any game i've played. I've tested this on BF2, HL2, CSS, DoD:S, NFS:MW, AA, UT2004, D3, Q4, 3DMark2001, '03, and '05, and other various game demos, like FEAR, CoD1&2, etc. (NOTE: On my old 25ms Samsung, it didn't not ghost a lot (although it did) when my FPS was ABOVE the monitor's refresh rate, but it got HORRIBLE when my FPS was below it. Just a comparison to the VX924, as it performs MUCH better when FPS is below the monitor's refresh rate, almost eliminating any image corruption of any kind.) This thing is very fast while retaining great vividness and color quality. The monitor is also has a very even level of brightness across the entire viewing area. This is great for movies in a dark room, as no part of the monitor appears to be brighter than the other. Also, on the topic of movies, playback is very smooth with crystal clear images. The options in the monitor for changing the picture are very extensive. You can even change the overall color to be slighty tinted red, green, or blue, which comes in handy for various reasons (depending on your room lighting and what you're doing. The green tint is great when you are web-browing and using office apps for exnteded periods of time. It's very easy on the eyes.) Oh, and no dead pixels, shipped from Newegg. So, all in all, a definite 10/10 on this one. ****

1. ViewSonic
2. VX924 3. 19" Viewable 4. 3ms gtg, 6ms btw 5. 1280x1024 6. Input - DVI + VGA 7. 270 cd/m2 8. 550:1 9. 0.294mm This is a great freaking monitor. Stylish, sleek and gives a great image as well. Ghosting is non existant in this game, from racing games to FPS there is hardly any differences between it and a CRT in terms of refresh. While running games the colors are better than what I expected, even while running FEAR it can differentiate between shades of grey very well and provide a very good over all image. My only complaint with it though is that when producing a solid color (something you wont see in a game at all) You see bright spots around the sides and colors blur together slightly along the top, keep in mind this would be like a black scree with grey writing across the top. You wont get this during any kind of game play though because it is unnoticable. For the price of $350 this monitor is great! While I love this monitor I only wish I could have gotten the VX922, but this was purchased before that came out.. actually purchased a week before the VX922 was released >.<!! Although it made a wonderful christmas gift. Although I would take the VX922 over the VX924 because of its 2ms gtg and btw, and its 650:1 ratio, with only a price tag of $400 and as Tobuk just said.... 10/10

1. Monitor Manufacturer: Samsung
2. Model: 712n 3. Screen size:17" 4. Refresh Rate in ms: 12ms 5. Max resolution supported:1280x1024 6. Input: VGA 7. Brightness: 300cd/m2 8. Contrast Ratio: 600:1 9. Dot Pitch: 0.264mm **** This is a very good monitor viewable from pretty much all angles. Very good response no ghosting. It is very bright and does a good job of adjusting to smaller resolutions for gaming. I wish it had DVI but it is not that big of a deal. I wish it had some hight adjustments as well. I really like this monitor but i might trade up to something larger in the future. ****

1. Monitor Manufacturer - ViewSoinc
2. Model - VX910 3. Screen size - 19 inch 4. Refresh Rate - 12ms 5. Native Resolution - 1280x1024 60Hz 6. Input - DVI/VGA 7. Brightness - 250-nit 8. Contrast Ratio - 700:1 *9. Dot Pitch - 0.294 mm ********** Very good monitor, the best 19" that was at Office Depot when I got it. Served me well for 6 months and never a problem. Any 19" will spoil you with the screen size and it's hard to go back. I would suggest getting a VX924 as it's the same monitor but with a 3ms grey-to-grey response time and it's only a little more expensive, but if response time doesn't matter to you then this monitor is great and ViewSonic is a great manufacturer of LCDs **********

1.) AOC
2.) LM960 3.) 19 inch 4.) 12ms 5.) 1280x1024 60Hz 6.) Dsub 7.) 250 cd/m2 8.) 500:1 9.) 0.294mm ************* This is the first monitor I've ever had that wasn't a 15 inch CRT beast! It's great, very bright which I like. I was weary of buying a 12ms monitor, but I asked around I was told I wouldn't see ghosting and I don't =) I run this at 1280x1024 75Hz and everything looks beautiful, HL2/CS:S, WoW, Warcraft III TFT and ut2k4. This monitor is a little difficult to veiw at certain angles (I have it proped up/forward so I can see better). Before I added the props to it the stand was shaky on its own, if I bump into my desk, I watch it dance..but I am 240..lol. I bought this for 240, great monitor for the price =) *************

Contrast Ratio - 300 cd/m² 9. Dot Pitch in mm. - 0.294 10. Integrated Speakers **** This is my first LCD and at first it was hard getting used to it after owning CRT's all my life but now that im used to it this thing is great, it has integrated speakers that sound really good even all the way up and its got a very nice picture quality and color compared to some ive seen, gaming on this is great aslong as you dont forget to install the drivers that came with it like i did at first kekeke ![]() The only cons i can really see about this is the max supported resolution is 1280x1024 and you cant disable the digital popup when you change screen resolutions or when alt tabing from application to application. |
