Default Difference between Samsung 2493HM and 245T?

Shopping for a 24 inch monitor, I came across these two, and besides the fact that the 2493HM has built-in speakers and the 245T has a $200 extra in pricing, what is the difference? Is the 245T worth this extra cash?

RE: The link
If you compare the specs of the two you can see a clear difference. I'd go with 2493HM.

2493HM is a TN panel. 245T is S-PVA. The viewing angles and color reproduction (in terms of gamut) on the S-PVA are better than the TN, while the TN will have lower response time and input lag (generally speaking). I don't have exact numbers on either panel, but they're both pretty good monitors.

Exactly, very well put 2493HM for a gaming monitor or 245T for better viewing angles and more accurate color reproduction.I'm going to pick up a 2493HM pretty soon here as well

It really depends on how picky you are. If you're more picky about input lag than color, then the TN is good. More picky about color than input lag, the *VA. Picky about both...well, time to spend some cash on an IPS :P

edit: And at that price for the 245T, I'd actually go for the Doublesight for just a little more http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...07&Tpk=ds-263n

Hmn, I was thinking of picking up the Dell Ultrasharp 2408WFP, but I like what I see with the Samsung 2493HM but which one is better for gaming and photoshop? (I do both :3)

I have had my 2493HM for about 2 weeks and I am in love with it!!!! My friend's dad has the 2693HM and I saw it and KNEW I had to get one of these monitors. I could not justify $100 for an inch and a half, so I went with the 2493HM and I absolutely love it.

I am coming from a Dell 2005WFP which is not a bad monitor, but the 2493HM blows it away.

I'm not sure which is better between the Doublesight and the 2408, but they're both better than the 2493 for Photoshop. If you do serious PS work, you shouldn't really be considering a TN panel. As for gaming, if you're sensitive to image delay, the 2408 may be too much for you (60-90 ms). The Doublesight and 2493 should be about the same as far as input lag goes, but the Doublesight gains the edge in viewing angles and colors.

Creating game sprites and textures for game design with Photoshop is what I'm mainly doing. =3
