Default Which is best 22 inch Samsung Moniter?

Hello I am having a hard time deciding which moniter to buy either:

SAMSUNG 2253BW

or

Samsung SAMSUNG T220 ?

keep in mind i am coming from a 19 inch CRT old junk and only plan to buy 1 monitor that will hopefully last me for many years to come.

Hi there,

To start of with, both these monitors are good, but personally I would go for the T220, why, better build quality, and a killer 20000:1 contrast ratio, its great for playing games on, if thats what your using it for.

I believe the T220 is slightly more expensive, but if you can afford it, go for it

Hope this helps.

I own the 2253, I love it because I can change from my pc to the ps3 with the push of a button but it bleeds from the sides, however you can only notice it if the screen turns completely black.

Samsung doesn't make the 225BW anymore. T220 FTW!

But they now have the 2253LW 21.6" (***?) which is sitting on my desk and has about 1 line of bleeding on the edge of the screen only noticeable when the screen is black and you are trying to find it.

I have the sammy t220 and love it. I don't know if they did away with the "panel lottery", you can go to their website and see what panel they use. Different than the older ones, i think. But it is a really nice monitor. No more backlight bleed than any of the best out there. Colors are very accurate and bright.

Gaming is awesome on it. Very glad i bought it, and wouldn't buy any other.
