Here's my dilema. I'm selling my flawless Samsung 216bw (if anyone is interested, shoot me a PM) to upgrade to a dual monitor setup. Here are my choices:

Now of course I would love to spend the least amount of money possible, but I don't want to totally sacrifice quality and size for price. I know very little about the Acer's, not to mention them being reconditioned might be viewed as a possible downside. I've heard good things about the BenQ's, but I've also heard good things about the KDS (not to mention it's larger). I think the BenQ's image quality might be the best of the lot, but I'm not totally sure.

For the best compromise of price, size, and quality what would you guys choose for your personal setup if faced with this decision?

All those are TN panels. You're basically trying to get the best image quality out of the worst panels available. If I were prepared to spend over $800, I'd get a good IPS panel (Flavor of the month) and a smaller secondary panel (or just keep your Samsung as secondary). 24"+ widescreen monitors will likely provide more horizontal space than you need. It would also help if you could tell us what you're planning on doing with these monitors (strictly gaming, video editing, photo editing, web surfing, etc).

What heretic posted should be kept in mind as well, but to me a TN panel is fine. It depends on what you do. The better panels have better color reproduction, but slower response times. So if the only thing you do is game, or at least you game often, I would say those panels aren't for you. Plus, probably no dual monitors because they are expensive.

Out of the ones you've listed I would go with the BenQ. But I would highly reccomend the Samsung 245BW. I think Samsung makes great panels. But they are much more expensive with no coupon, only a $30 rebate. Total would be around $900. Also, I hate the look of the BenQ's, but if you like it I say go for it. There are multiple members here who have it and say they love it. Good luck!

eh, I'd really like to dual monitors of the same size/model - I tend to be picky and want my setup to look as clean as possible.

I do a little of everything - gaming, web surfing, photo editing. I have always been a heavy gamer but I am very much into photography as well, so I do a lot of image processing - although I'm also perfectly fine with the color reproduction of my Samsung 216bw once it's calibrated, so anything that at
least matches it once calibrated should be fine. I really don't need or want to spend $800 on a single monitor - a fairly decent TN panel should work for me - if I'm going to spend that much I'd like to have the look, feel, and workspace of duals.

Its just a question of which are the best bang for the buck.
