Well I don't have dual monitors, but I did just hook up my 46" sharp to my pc and use it for media. Is there really nothing better then Ultramon out there? I am surprised that a feature like 2 taskbars is still not part of the OS :/.

Ultramon is a pretty decent program, you could try a free version to get a basic task bar-

Dual Monitors of course! You can't play a game and watch something on your PC at the same time, I always watch something on the other monitor whilst playing. Lately its been playing GTA4 and South Park.

Asus 21.6" at 1920x1080 and LG 22" at 1680x1050. The height matches up ok and there's not a huge issue with switching windows between the two different resolutions.
