Default Buying a Monitor tomorrow And need help on which one

Ok I am going to buy a Monitor tomorrow morning and need help on which one would be best buy for me. I love to game, I love watching Movies on my PC (getting a BR rom als0). And i watch alot of Shows of the net too. Right now I am with a 18'' CRT. But have the money to get either of this. I am leaning more to the 28'' one, but I dont know if its the Male " I MUST HAVE BIGGER" or its the best buy and would be great.
Here are the ones I am looking at.
1

2

I like the idea of the 3.5'' more but will it make that much of a difference in gaming and watching Movies and shows over the 24'' also what about the contrast. but If you know you had the money for the 28'' and was walking in tomorrow with money in hand, Which would you walk out with and why?
Thank you for your time.

I vote number 2 mainly because of 16:10 @ 1920x1200 vs 1920x1080 for the other monitor. Another reason I decided not to vote for #1 is because of the brand name. It's something I've never heard of before, so do I trust it? no, not really.

because, mainly for the fact that newegg has it where to rma a monitor with dead pixals it has to be 8 or more. And plus dont want to wait for it to ship. And at the local store of best buy I know the Manager and if it even has 1 Dead Pixal they will replace it right there and then. Also that 1st one does have 1920x1200 the area it says 1920x1080 is talking about if you run BR movies. So its saying it has the ablity to run at 1080. They both have the same High Res. Just trying to decide between if the 28 is worth the extra 100 dollars. I have the money. And as far as the brand I have hear great things about it, it just new to the States.
Darkshadow74
PS plus puting a pretection pack on it so even if it breaks I can get it replaced.

Hannsspree is the TV-branch of Hanns which also has the popular branch, Hanns-G (monitors). I personally own a Hannspree 37" HDTV and it is amazing.

If you get a Samsung monitor, you can just directly RMA with them if they do have dead pixels. I think getting through Newegg.com is better.

But according to your choices, I would go with the Gateway.
