Default Which LCD for a laptop Vga out?

Hello Forum'ers.

Have a question,

I'm looking at picking up a new LCD monitor for my laptop to extend on.

My laptop has the following outputs.

HDMI, VGA, S-video.

It doesn't have Dvi . Though I can probably find a cheap adapter through my roommate who works @ the source by circuit city fast.

Affordably, I can probably spend max $300 on this, prefer less if possible. But the more desktop space the better.

I've tried searching, and found a LG and Samsung Lcd's (22") on www.memoryexpress.com for $209.99 and $219.99, 2ms, great specs. But dvi primarily.

They are great of course, but which would be better for a laptop out? I'm looking at doing gaming on that monitor from my laptop, instead of the laptop's 15.4" 1280x800 screen.

And i'm having a friend build a serious laptop cooler to let me turn on the ati overdrive option on the laptop without killing the video card. (cooling wise)

If there's any better solutions, or suggestions of what can work better. Appreciate it.

Oh and Wall mounting options, Are there any good workable options that make it easy to install?

Thanks!

I ran my 24in on VGA and it looked okay so you would be able to run a monitor that large off your laptop. I am a fan of Samsung monitors. I have had quite a few and haven't had any issues with them.
